I am an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon based in Christchurch. I completed my degrees in Dentistry (BChD), Medicine (MBChB), and specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (MChD, cum laude) at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. After several years in specialist private practice and academic teaching roles in South Africa, we relocated to New Zealand where I served as Clinical Director of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Christchurch Hospital for 8 years. I am currently working in full time private practice, focusing on implantology and orthognathic surgery. I have a specific interest in bone grafting.  I am actively involved in RACDS and ANZOMS activities.  

I enjoy spending my free time farming in South Canterbury with my wife, two children and grandson Alfie.
