Dr. Tae-Geon Kwon is Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the School of Dentistry, Kyungpook National University, and practices at Kyungpook National University Hospital and Dental Hospital in Daegu, Korea. He currently serves as Director of Kyungpook National University Dental Hospital and President of the Korean Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Kwon completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kyungpook National University Hospital. He subsequently conducted both basic and clinical research at Osaka University, Japan (1998–1999), the University of Michigan, USA (2007–2009), and the University of Illinois Chicago, USA (2019).

His clinical and research interests focus on digital planning and applications in orthognathic surgery, craniofacial bone regeneration, dentofacial deformity, and pathological bone diseases. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on these topics.
