Overview:
Orthognathic surgery profoundly impacts facial aesthetics with increasing emphasis on achieving predictable aesthetic outcomes while avoiding unfavourable facial changes. This course is designed to help surgeons refine their aesthetic assessment, treatment planning, and surgical strategies to optimise facial outcomes in orthognathic patients.
Course Topics
Topics include management of facial asymmetry, patient-specific solutions, surgical accuracy, managing the aesthetically driven patient, nasal considerations, adjunctive hard and soft tissue procedures, and interactive panel discussions on challenging aesthetic cases.
Managing the Mess: Zygoma and Full Arch Implants- Module 4

Workshop format
Dr Bedrossian will present on complications with reference to technical advances, immediate loading, surgical techniques and use of technology in full arch and zygomatic implant treatment. This will be followed by a complex case presentation and M&M panel discussion with Dr Bedrossian and the panel.
Complex case submission
If you have a complex case to submit for discussion, please submit an abstract summary of the case to oceania@aomi.org, before Friday 3 July 2026. Your submission will be reviewed and if accepted, you will need to present your case on the day with 2-3 slide summary. You will receive double CPD points in the M&M category for preparation of your case.
CPD
CPD points will be awarded for this activity, including a portion towards M&M category as part of the panel discussion for all participants.
