KEYNOTE SPEAKER
STANLEY LIU
Stanley Y.C. Liu, MD, DDS, FACS directs the NSU Health Sleep and Breathe Wellness Center and is Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Formerly at Stanford, he was an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology and directed the Sleep Surgery Fellowship. He is a Stanford Biodesign Faculty Fellow alumnus.
Dr. Liu advanced the Stanford Sleep Surgery Protocol with sleep surgery pioneers Drs. Riley and Powell. His contributions include using drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) to guide surgical sequencing around maxillomandibular advancement (MMA), establishing adult maxillary expansion for nasal breathing (DOME), and refining soft palatal surgery for hypoglossal nerve stimulation (Inspire) eligibility.
He authored more than 120 peer-reviewed publications and delivered keynote addresses including SLEEP (2019) and the World Sleep Congress (2023). He is ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in otorhinolaryngology by the Stanford/Elsevier citation index. He is the Deputy President of the Global Initiative for Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
INTERNATIONAL INVITED SPEAKERS
Mark A. Green, DDS, MD, FACS, is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Boston Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. His clinical practice focuses on orthognathic surgery, pediatric maxillofacial pathology, and dental implants. Dr. Green’s research is centered on improving outcomes in orthognathic surgery, with particular emphasis on enhanced recovery protocols, perioperative management, and strategies to reduce postoperative morbidity. He has led the development and implementation of an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol for orthognathic surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital. His research also focuses on dental implant reconstruction in pediatric and cleft patients, including optimization of regenerative grafting techniques and implant site preparation in patients with cleft lip and palate. Through his clinical practice and research, Dr. Green seeks to advance evidence-based approaches to complex
pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgical care.

ALFRED LAU
Alfred Sze Lok LAU

Dr Alfred Lau works in a private day surgery center and private hospitals. He is an honorary clinical associate professor of OMFS at HKU. He is currently the honorary consultant in OMS at Queen Mary Hospital and the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital.
Dr Lau served as president of the HK Association of OMS from 2016 to 2019. He is the founder and past president of the Young OMS Group of HK.
Currently, he is an elected Executive Committee member (member-at-large) of the IAOMS, appointed Co-chairman of the IAOMS membership committee, an advisor to the IAOMS NextGen section, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the IAOMS Foundation. He has been involved in the IAOMS for10 years.
Regionally, Dr Lau is elected as a member-at-large for the Asian AOMS since 2022. He is an International Faculty member of the AOCMF and a founding member of the Hong Kong Association of Dental Sleep Medicine (HKADSM), as well as a founding board member of the Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Implantologists (AOMI). He serves as a Hong Kong Dental Council examiner, as well as a trainer and examiner in OMS in Hong Kong and an OMS specialty board member. He was appointed as the Hong Kong Convention Ambassador by the Hong Kong Tourism Board in 2020-2022.
He organizes and frequently speaks in conferences and courses regionally and internationally. He also organized international conferences such as ACOMS in 2006 as well as 2026, and ICOMS 2017 in Hong Kong.
He has also been invited to appear on many TV programs and in media and magazines, and he regularly writes OMS textbook chapters and articles on OMS topics in newspaper columns. He recently published a book related to OMS to promote knowledge to the public in Hong Kong.
BONNIE PADWA
Dr. Bonnie Padwa received her DMD from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and her MD from Harvard Medical School. After finishing her oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the Massachusetts General Hospital she completed a craniofacial surgery fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Padwa is a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She is the Leonard B. Kaban DMD, MD Chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Oral Surgeon-in-Chief at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Padwa has a special interest in treating patients with cleft and craniofacial deformities and her clinical research is centered around this patient population. She has authored more than 200 scientific articles and book chapters and has lectured both nationally and internationally.
CORY RESNICK
Dr. Resnick is the Robinson Family Endowed Chair of Plastic and Oral Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard Medical School. He practices pediatric oral and craniomaxillofacial surgery with an emphasis on craniofacial anomalies and syndromes, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, management of pediatric obstructive sleep apnea, and the surgical management of temporomandibular joint disorders. Dr. Resnick is the Director of Clinical Operations for the Boston Children’s Hospital multi-disciplinary Craniofacial Team and the Director of the oral and maxillofacial surgery Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship.
Dr. Resnick earned both his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He then moved to Boston to earn his medical degree at Harvard Medical School and complete an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Resnick is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Resnick is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
In addition to Dr. Resnick’s busy clinical practice, he is dedicated to innovation and improvement of his field through research and education. Dr. Resnick is the author of over 100 publications and frequently lectures nationally and internationally. He trains a Craniofacial Fellow as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery residents through the Massachusetts General Hospital residency program. He has many ongoing clinical research projects designed to improve treatment and outcomes in several areas of pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery.
PATRICIA STOOR
Associate Professor, MD, DDS
Head of Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Diseases, Helsinki University Hospital, Helsinki, Finland
Associate Professor Stoor holds several international and national appointments, including International AO CMF Faculty since 2014, Member of the AO CMF R&D Commission since 2023, and Member of the AO CMF Orthognathic Taskforce. She is also a member of EACMFS, IAOMS and the Finnish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Her main clinical and research interests are orthognathic surgery, virtual surgical planning and the use of patient-specific solutions.
Her previous research has also focused on biomaterials and patient-specific solutions in trauma and reconstructive surgery.
NATIONAL INVITED SPEAKERS
MARTIN BATSTONE
A/Prof Martin D Batstone MBBS BDSc (Hons) MPhil(Surg) FRACDS (OMS) FRCS (OMFS).
Martin Batstone was a graduate of the Queensland Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program in 2004. His current position is Director of the Maxillofacial Unit and Executive Director of Surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He is a Past President of the Australian and New Zealand Head and neck cancer society and chairs the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital Head and Neck Cancer clinic. He has a keen interest in research with multiple past and present postgraduate students and has been recognised as Australia's leading researcher in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for 2024 and 2025. His clinical interests are the surgical management of head and neck cancer and microvascular reconstruction.
KURT GEBAUER
Cl. A/Prof. Kurt Gebauer graduated from the University of Western Australia with an MBBS in 1985. Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists was awarded in 1991. Additionally he received a Fellowship of the Australasian College of Phlebology in 2001. He was conferred Clinical Associate Professor in Dermatology April 2008.
Cl. A/Prof. Gebauer works in a private group Dermatology practice with his brother Dr. Hannes Gebauer and colleagues Dr. William Hedley, Dr. Eunice Tana and Dr. Amrit Singh. They practice from two locations Fremantle and Rockingham. Kurt Gebauer is formerly Head of Department of Dermatology at Fremantle Hospital and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. Additionally, he is accredited to several Private Hospitals in Perth and is a member of numerous Medical Societies including the Australasian College of Dermatologists, American Academy of Dermatology, International Society of Dermatology, Sclerotherapy Society of Australia, Australian and New Zealand Society of Phlebology. He holds a Diploma in Sports Medicine issued by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Past dermatological appointments include Censor (Examiner) for the Final Fellowship Examinations of the Australasian College. He was for many years Chairman of the Australasian College of Dermatology Continual Medical Education Committee, Chairman of the Rural Dermatology Task Force, locally the Director of Dermatological Training and Liaison Officer for Dermatology with the University of Western Australia. Cl. A/Prof. Gebauer has a long-standing interest in rural health. Additionally, as part of this commitment he assists the Lions Cancer Institute in rural skin cancer screenings and has done so for many years. He established the Visiting Dermatology Service to Albany. He frequently travels to rural areas to participate in upskilling programs for rural General Practitioners. Prof. Gebauer has provided a weekly service to nursing homes and home visits to incapacitated patients for the last 20 years.
Cl. A/Prof. Gebauer has participated in numerous Australian as well as International clinical trials. His research interests presently include acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, Hidradenitis Suppurativa and Alopecia Areata. He has lectured at Dermatology conferences throughout Australia, Asia, the Middle East and had been invited on a solo lecturing tour of South Africa.
Non professionally he continues to play field Hockey in Winter having represented the State in Veterans competitions. His summer sport is water polo and was a State representative at junior level. More recently he has had the pleasure of playing with an equally grumpy group of old men in Hungary at the Fina World Masters Championships of Water Polo. As the years pass, he finds he spends more time coaching children than training.
Academically Cl. A/Prof. Kurt Gebauer runs a Clinical Research Unit that primarily involves itself with Phase 2, Phase 3 Observational Studies on the newer developing drugs in Dermatology. He is part of the Probity (Canada) network of Researchers. He has authored and co-authored over 50 papers on various aspects of Dermatology.
